The April 2007 workshop on HIV Prevention and Sex Work was organised by the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), with support from WHOand UNAIDS, Health and Family Planning Institutions. The workshop, the first workshop focusing on HIV Prevention in sex work held in China, was organized to provide a forum for sharing information and experience in HIV Prevention in sex work in China, and the region.
More than 100people from UN agencies, international and national NGOs, and government institutions attended the workshop. The speakers were experts from the international, national and provincial levels, and workshop participants actively took part in the workshops, sharing experiences, discussing the current situation and providing suggestions for future application.
This report reflects the discussions held during the workshop.
