Call for Consultations on China Global Fund AIDS Round 8 Concept Paper

　　On May 28, 2008, the Core Writing Team (CWT) of China Global Fund AIDS Round 8 (Round 8) Proposal finished the drafting of the Concept Paper of Round 8. Now the CWT calls for consultations on the Concept Paper. The Concept Paper is attached. Please send your consultation to chinaround8proposal@gmail.com before 17:00 June 4, 2008, Wednesday. Please help to circulate the notice.

　　During the China Global Fund Country Coordinating Mechanism AIDS Working Group Meeting held on May 7, 2008, the target population of Round 8 will be migrant population (rural to urban), the target province will be Beijing, Tianjin, Shanghai, Guangdong, Fujian, Zhejiang, Jiangsu, and the overall goals of the Round 8 has been in principle decided as:

　　1）  Strengthen the implementation of policies to ensure universal access to HIV/AIDS prevention, treatment, care and support services for vulnerable migrants

　　2）  Increase coverage of comprehensive HIV prevention programs for vulnerable migrants

　　3）  Increase access to HIV/AIDS treatment, care and support services by vulnerable migrants.

　　Based on the above agreed overall goals, the CWT has finished the drafting of Service Delivery Area (SDA) and related Activities.

　　The CWT welcomes consultations on the following issues:

• The content of SDAs in the Concept Paper
• The content of Activities under each SDA in the Concept Paper
• Please send to the CWT the best practices you know related to each Activity in the Concept Paper, for example, a certain organization or institute has implemented or is implementing a certain effective project. If possible, please also provide the CWT with the contact information of the organization you’ve mentioned, therefore the CWT can contact the organization to get more information they need in the future. All the contact information will be stored in a database afterwards, which will be used for notice dissemination in the process of public call for SRs.
• Other Suggestions related to the overall goals of the Concept Paper.
