Extension of PR Nomination of China Global Fund AIDS Round 8
May 29, 2008
Adopted by Wiwat Rojanapithayakorn, the Chair of the Global Fund China CCM AIDS Working Group, in order to follow the recommendation of “Dual-Track Financing” by Global Fund Board, we decide to extend the deadline of Principal Recipients (PRs) nomination of China AIDS Round 8 to next Friday, 17:00 June 6, 2008, one week extension. We recommend the nomination of both government and non-government PRs. Please notice that the procedure and requirement of nomination is the same as what is written in the following notice published on May 8, 2008. Please help to circulate the notice.

Call for nomination of PRs for the China Global Fund Round 8 AIDS Program
Dear all:
According to the recommendationof the China CCM AIDS Working Group held on 7 May 2008, we are seeking your advice, recommendations or interest on being or suggesting a Principal Recipient (PR)for the Global Fund Round 8AIDS programme to the submitted to the Global Fund for approval.
This Round 8 proposal is the revision of the Round 7 proposal targeting vulnerable migrants. The programme has 3 main objectives:

Strengthen the implementation of policies to expand coverage of HIV/sexually transmitted infection (STI) prevention, treatment and care services for vulnerable migrants;

Increase coverage of comprehensive HIV prevention programs in workplaces and communities for vulnerable migrants; and
-
Increase access of migrant people living with HIV and AIDS to HIV treatment and care services.
Please be reminded that the PR has to have national implementation and coordination capacity, and must be a legal, registered entity. The PR must also meet strict Global Fund minimum requirements regarding the following capacities:

Project management capacity

Financial/accounting capacity
-
Procurement and supply capacity
-
Monitoring and evaluation
