Since the Launch of the Campaign on Prevention of HIV among Children and Young People in China, and with concerted efforts from the Government and the civil society, including the media and NGOs, the issue of children, young people and AIDS has drawn great public attention.
In order to work with journalists on strategies for broader and more in-depth media coverage of children, young people and AIDS and to explore with NGOs on how to work effectively with the media to promote children’s rights, especially children orphaned and made vulnerable by AIDS, we hereby invite you to participate in the 'Children, Young People and AIDS media workshop'on 9th April, 2008.
As part of the capacity building effort of the UNTG-Children and AIDS Working Group, the workshop is organized by Beijing STD&AIDS Association, with financial contribution from Chaoyang Chinese AIDS Intervention Working Group, and support from the Beijing Orchid Culture Communication Center and Bayer Public Health and HIV/AIDS Media Studies Program.
