1.Communication & Training Manager  

  The Communication/Training Manager will report directly to PSI China Country Representative, and the Deputy Country Representative. His/her role will be mainly to assist PSI's management in all aspects of PSI's programs in China. He/She will ensure that field operations and senior management communicate effectively, and that Senior management has easy and timely access to program-related information. He/She will have to demonstrate outstanding organizational and interpersonal skills. Beyond the required academic qualifications and work experience. At PSI, one of the hallmarks is that employees at all levels take the initiative on their own, hierarchical behaviors are discouraged and boundaries between functions are minimized.

  Responsibilities

  Programs related

    1. Serve as interface between all working units and Senior Management Compile and deliver quarterly programs update (based on staff monthly reports and other sources) and keep track of various indicators  
    2. Assist in execution of multiple marketing initiatives
    3. Compile program documents and translate as necessary for management review
    4. Identify knowledge and skills gap of the teams both at center and outreach
    5. Design appropriate training program in conjunction with IEC materials, created by agency,  each quarter  
    6. Train the outreach team to make use of IEC materials properly and effectively convey the designed key message   
    7. Monitor and evaluate outreach team communication effectiveness toward target  

  Product Program related  

    1. Assist product marketing team in training the product team to achieve the coverage expansion of MARPs  
    2. Introduce PSI products and train partner NGOs or government health sectors
    3. Ensure the right product proposition and usage  
    4. Plan out training activities toward partners as well as direct targets on a quarterly basis with research team  
    5. Monitor and evaluate training success with close supervision and consultancies from research team
    6. Work closely with research department in designing any appropriate questionnaire to measure effectiveness of each training session

  Communication and External Affairs related

    1. Communicates effectively about PSI China activities through various channels (website, newsletters, others), to a variety of audiences (general public, donors, partners, other audiences). This includes ensuring that creative briefs, ensuring that donors get credited properly, ensuring that PSI China "disseminates" appropriately to various audiences, etc.)
    2. Recommends and implements corporate communication strategies to external bodies (PR activities, events, others)   
    3. Recommends and implements the internal communication strategy  
    4. Works closely with the research team to have access at all times to up-to-date program-related and AIDS-related research, in order to keep senior management informed. Also keeps an eye on other consumer or societal research relevant to the program.
    5. Assist the CR, Deputy CR in any other tasks, as assigned

 

2.Research Assistant

  Responsibilities

    • Assist the Research Manager complete a portfolio of research projects that support PSI/China’s social marketing programs
    • Updating information and organizing the MIS and library system
    • Following-up and monitoring fieldwork for research projects
    • Coordinating with research agencies and stakeholders
    • Summarizing draft reports and preparing presentations for research projects when needed
    • Managing all research documents and files
    • Completing other administrative duties related to research activities
    • Helping translating and disseminating the research results
    • Travel approx. 30% of time both in Yunnan and Guangxi province.

  Qualifications and experience:

    • University graduate (or above) with training in computer science, social science, demography, or public health a plus
    • Excellent analytical skills
    • Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office (especially access), Internet and SPSS (or another statistical software package) 
    • Good written and spoken English skills highly preferred
    • Ability to work under strict deadlines
    • Interest in HIV/AIDS prevention and working with underserved populations
    • Demonstrated ability to work independently

 

3Program Officer, Huxianghao IDU Program

  Responsibilities

  • Support the Program Manager in the daily operation of an IDU Program, including supervision of staff and monitoring program needs.
  • Develop monthly program workplan in consultation with key program staff.
  • Communicate the workplans and decisions or actions to the team as in a timely manner, so to ensure the tasks will be followedthrough.
  • Assist manager to track the program progress in line with the annual or monthly workplan. 
  • Assist the Program Manager to coordinate with key program staff for the performance of the program work (health impact created, measured by behavior change levels achieved, quality of program work and reliability of information conveyed in program, quality of data collected at the field work).
  • IEC: coordinate and develop IEC materials in line with the program marketing plan.  Draft behavioral change communication newsletters for target audience. IEC
  • M&E, Data: assist the Program Manager to oversee the data collection, analysis and reporting.  Generate and submit monthly data report.
  • DIC & outreach: participate program activities in the drop-in center, outreach in the detox centers, methadone treatment clinics and communities. 
  • Training: assist the training program to draft educational curriculums, and other health promotion toolkits and materials.
  • Event: plan, coordinate, implement, set up and breakdown events as necessary.
  • To complete such aspects of general administration, e.g. guest list, logistic coordination for trips and events, DIC financial report as required by Manager.

 

  Qualifications:

  • Strong communication skills including written, oral and editing skills.
  • Basic computer skills and knowledge of MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint required.
  • Proficiency English skill both in oral and writing.
  • Minimum 2 year working experience required.  
  • Exceptional skills in interpersonal communication, teamwork, partnering.
  • Work professionally and learning fast.

 

   Preference:

  • Basic publishing/photo editing computer skills.
  • Basic data management and analysis capacity.
  • Experiences with working in the field of health such as HIV, STI or hepatitis.  
  • With an education background in the field of health, social science or marketing.
  • A good understanding of how nonprofit organizations operate.  
  • Strong problem solving skills.
  • Excellent facilitation and presentation skills.
  • A sense of humor and a constructive outlook 

  Reports to: IDU Program Manager

 

4.Finance/Admin Assistant (Located in Kunming,Yunnan)Reports to: Finance/Admin Manager

  Responsibilities:

  Prepare payment and other vouchers under direction of Finance/Admin manager 

  • Act as Office Operator
  • Assist with all aspects of office management including obtaining visas, leases preparation, business licenses
  • Act as cashier, maintaining cash ledger, and distributing cash 
  • Withdraw cash from bank with FAM  
  • Keep and fill in checking and give it to CR &AFM sign  
  • Monthly cash reconciliation with CR/AFM
  • Ensure integrity of internal controls
  • Provide routine translation as requested
  • Provide occasional support to project activities on evenings or weekends as required including greeting incoming consultants at airport
  • Other duties required by FAM or CR     

 

  Qualifications:

  • Previous experience as a cashier desirable
  • College degree in finance, management, English or other related field  
  • Excellent knowledge of English; High level of mandarin writing proficiency
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills
  • High level of honesty and integrity
  • Interest and commitment to NGO work
  • One-Two years related working experience

 

5.Health Product Promoter & Detailer (Jinping County of Honghe Perfecture)

   Responsibilities:

  • Detail long lasting insecticide treated nets to distributors, wholesalers, retailers in the target areas 
  • Promote long lasting insecticide treated nets to distributors, wholesalers, retailers and local consumers   
  • Help develop and disseminate promotional materials
  • Maintain sales and client records
  • Conduct special product and brand promotion campaigns 
  • Assist PSI prefecture program coordinator and senior PSI program managers and other duties as assigned 

 

  Qualification Criteria:

  • Local residence preferred
  • Young, honest and energetic and committed to helping the people of Yunnan achieve better health through use of health promoting products 
  • Demonstrated initiative, ability to work with minimal supervision 
  • Good interpersonal communication and organization skills 
  • Experience detailing medical products to medical providers including pharmacists preferred
  • Relevant college degree and/or significant related work experience (health or business)  
  • Knowledge of internet use, Microsoft Professional software (Word, Excel) 
  • Ability to work and travel nights and weekends, and to work in sometimes difficult conditions in rural areas.
