Dalian Sky Health Charity Net conducted the “MSM Population Peer Education and Training Class” on 29th March. This was organized to meet the objectives of health protection of the MSM population, containment of the spread of HIV in the MSM community, strong advocacy for safe sex practices as well as voluntary consultations and testing, increase of self-protection awareness among the MSM population and facilitation of peer educators performing outreach work in the community. The combination of games and lessons taught during this training gave the students a deep understanding of the knowledge provided. In the training process, the students spoke openly about their opinions and were earnest and serious. They clearly demonstrated their understanding of the importance of self-protection in sexual safety. The trainer patiently provided explanations to the questions raised, helped to eliminate the fear of AIDS, and helped the students understand the need for AIDS prevention. HIV/AIDS awareness materials and condoms were provided at the training venue.
This training was a success. We shall continue our work in relentlessly carrying out HIV/AIDS prevention awareness and education through various means. Together, we hope to build a society with a public opinion of “sharing life and showing love and care to one another”. We hope to contribute more towards creating greater awareness of AIDS prevention and control.
