A call for sub-proposals or suggestions

The China CCM AIDS Working Group (AWG) is assigned by the CCM to be responsible for the preparation of an AIDS Proposal to be submitted to the Global Fund (Round 8). Based on the meeting of the AWG on 20 March 2008, The main focus areas of the Round 8 proposal will be based on the failed Round 7 proposal, taking into consideration on (1) a revision addressing the response to the TRP comments, (2) inclusion of key new areas suggested by the Global Fund (gender sensitive interventions, health system strengthening, community system strengthening), (3) incorporation of all suggestions from the AWG members wherever possible in the context of the main target population (enhancing service delivery, mobile sex workers and clients, migrant youth (including those out of school, school dropouts and unemployed), migrant drug users, mobile MSM, family members of migrants, migrant person living with HIV/AIDS, capacity building in grass-root NGOs, TB/HIV co-infection, increased participation of NGOs and CBOs, and access to target populations).

In the preparation process, the CCM AWG is calling for sub-proposals or suggestions to be incorporated into the main CCM proposal. Please submit the sub-proposal or suggestions to the CCM Secretariat <GF@chinaglobalfund.org> by the deadline of 7 April 2008. All the sub-proposals or suggestions will be screened by the Proposal Writing Team of the AWG, and the relevant ones will be incorporated into the main CCM proposal. To facilitate the process, a sub-proposal form is prepared to be used as a template (only in English - because it will be convenient for the Writing Team to incorporate into the main proposal. Please inform the CCM Secretariat is a Chinese version of the template is needed). Please be informed that inclusion of a sub-proposal or suggestion into the main proposal is not a guarantee that the submitting organization will be selected as a sub-recipient or sub-sub-recipient of the project, as there will be a transparent process for the selection after the proposal is approved by the Global Fund.
