BCC: See Behavior change communication.

 

B-cells: A white blood cell that produces antibodies to create immunity against infections.

 

Bacteria: Microscopic organisms composed of a single cell. Many bacteria can cause disease in people. The plural form of bacterium.

 

Behavior change communication (BCC): The use of information techniques that AIDS people in adopting a new behaviour once they realize that their present behaviour is harmful to themselves and others.

 

Bisexual: A person who is sexually attracted to both sexes.

 

Blood screening: The laboratory process that checks blood for HIV and other infections.
